GARDENING 101

I'm not giving any advice on how to grow a garden or gardening classes, the title of this post is more like the class I should have taken before we started our little garden, ha! I really don't have a clue on gardening, but I really wanted to experience it with my little ones, you know, like teach them how to take care of plants, and show them the miracle of growing your own food, it is not like I'm planning  to get all of our produce in the garden, but wouldn't be great to be able to get our tomato or summer squash soup right out of our garden! It would definitely be something!
So, for the past couple of months we have been working on giving some green to our surroundings, we planted a few flowers at the front of the house, put a big cornstalk dracaena in the entrance, planted an orange tree and started our little vegetable garden in the backyard, again I have no clue on this, I have never done it before, (we sure had a couple of plants at our apartment back in Mexico, but that was it), lucky me, you can find an app for almost everything these days, so beside some google on "how to" I got a really great app named Sprout it, which has been key in this process, it gets you into each step, from selecting your plants to harvesting, it also gives you tips on cooking!
I still don't know how is this going to turn out, but at least we have another excuse to expend some time outside, which is the best part! and our house is looking pretty with all this green!
